Adding and deleting customers from an existing order

Learn how to add or remove customers from your upcoming or active orders in TWICE Commerce. This guide helps rental operators efficiently manage customer details while maintaining accurate records.

Every now and then, your customers want to add people to an order after the initial order has been placed. In this case, instead of creating a new order, you can add new people to an existing order.

Adding a New Customer

Note: You cannot modify customers in completed, subscription, sales, or delivery orders

1. Access Your Order

2. Add the Customer

  • Click the "+" icon above the customer cards
  • Select products for the new customer
  • Fill in the customer details and required info
  • Click "Update order"

The system automatically updates the payment status and the remaining balance. Assign article IDs and handle any additional charges as needed.

Removing a Customer

1. Locate the Customer:

  1. Find the customer card within the order
  2. Return every product assigned to the customer

2. Delete the Customer:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (more icon) next to their name
  2. Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu
  3. Confirm the deletion
  4. Process any necessary refunds or release deposits if applicable

Important Notes

  • Every order must have at least one customer
  • To remove the only customer, you must cancel the entire order
  • Removing a primary contact customer doesn't change their status as the order's primary contact
  • Customer modifications are not available for:
    • Subscription orders
    • Sales orders
    • Completed orders
    • Delivery orders
