Creating automations with TWICE and Zapier

TWICE Commerce integrates with Zapier to help you automate routine tasks and streamline your business operations. This guide will show you how to set up and use automations to save time and reduce manual work.

What are webhooks and what is Zapier?

Webhooks are automated HTTP callbacks that enable real-time communication between applications by sending data when specific events occur. Instead of constantly polling an API for updates, webhooks push data to a specified URL whenever a triggering event happens, making them efficient for integrating different systems.

Zapier is an automation platform that connects different apps and services. It allows you to create automated workflows (called "Zaps") that trigger actions between TWICE and other business tools you use, like Slack, email services, or CRM systems.

Setting Up Your First Automation

Step 1: Create a New Zap

Step 2: Configure the Webhook

  1. Select "Catch Hook" as your trigger event
  2. Copy the unique webhook URL provided by Zapier
  3. Keep this tab open for the next step

Step 3: Set Up TWICE Webhook

  1. Log into your TWICE Admin dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Webhooks
  3. Click "Add New Webhook"
  4. Paste the Zapier webhook URL
  5. Select the events you want to trigger the automation
  6. Save your webhook configuration

Step 4: Complete Your Zap

  1. Return to Zapier
  2. Test the webhook connection
  3. Choose your desired action app (e.g., Slack, Gmail)
  4. Configure the action details
  5. Test and activate your Zap
