Defining business hours for your store

Understanding Business Hours Impact

Your business hours settings determine:

• When customers can make bookings
• Available pickup and return time slots
• Product availability in your sales channels

Setting Up Your Store's Business Hours

1. Log in to your Twice Commerce Admin Dashboard
2. Navigate to Settings > Opening Hours

Default Business Hours

1. Click "Add Row" to create entries for your operating days
2. Use the drop-down selectors to set:
   • Days of operation
   • Opening time
   • Closing time
3. Add multiple rows to set different hours for weekdays and weekends

Adding Exceptions

1. Scroll to the "Exceptions" section
2. Click "Add Exception" for dates with special hours
3. Select the date and either:
   • Set modified hours for that date
   • Mark as "Store closed" by checking the box

Important: Days without specified hours are automatically set to 24-hour operation. Always explicitly set hours or closures for all days.

Best Practices

• Review your hours monthly
• Plan holiday schedules in advance
• Update exception dates at least 2 weeks ahead
• Consider the impact on existing bookings when making changes

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Products Not Available for Booking

• Verify business hours are set for all operating days
• Check for conflicting exception dates
• Ensure return times fall within business hours

Return Times Blocked by Closure Dates

• Confirm store hours accommodate the entire rental duration
• Review exception dates that might conflict with return windows
